5 Best Dog-Friendly Parks in Saskatoon

Here’s Our List of the 5 Best Parks in Saskatoon You and Your Dog Will Love

Whether for business or for leisure, when you travel, it’s important to bring Fido with you. That’s why we offer many executive suites that are more than happy to let you bring your dog along for the adventure too.

But for travelers looking for a great place to walk their dog while experiencing the charm of the city, here’s our list of the best parks your dog will love to sniff around in.

1. Rotary Park / Cosmopolitan Park

Running along the east side of the river, this long and winding park system also makes for an excellent biking route. You’ll get excellent views of the historic Delta Bessborough as well as the University Bridge in the north, and the Traffic Bridge in the south.

Right in the middle of these two great parks is The Broadway—A fully furnished apartment suite in the heart of Saskatoon’s business community.

2. Forest Park / Northeast Swale

One of the most sprawling park systems in the east of the city, these parks connect with some of the most beautiful trails winding through protected wildlife areas. Head to this giant park system and your dog will have plenty to sniff!

With Forest Park in the south, and beautiful protected lands of the swale to the north, this massive greenspace will give you and your dog a great expense to explore.

3. Kiwanis Memorial Park / Victoria Park

Stretching along the west side of the river, this park is filled with things to see and smell from top to bottom. Just make sure your journey brings you to the ornately painted Victoria Park Pagoda. This neck of the park feels straight out of an asian fantasy, and makes for a wonderful photo moment!

4. Diefenbaker Park

Located in the south of Saskatoon just off the Gordie Howe Bridge, this is another great park for the whole family.

In the summer, this is an excellent place for a peaceful picnic, and in the winter, your pup will love pouncing in the snow as your kids go tobogganing down Optimist Hill.

5. Kinsmen Park

Full of modern art and carnival rides, This park is an excellent walk for dogs and people of all ages. If you’re also with the family, make sure you bring your kids to Nutrien Playland which features a ferris wheel, carousel, mini zipline and more!

And if you book your short-term rental suite at The Rumley, you’re just a short stroll away!

Conclusion

With the South Saskatchewan River, winding through the city, you’ll find many great parks stretching along both sides that’ll get your pup the exercise they need.

For an unleashed experience, you can also check out the city’s many dog parks, just keep in mind you’ll need to license your pet before taking your pooch to any of them.
